Job Description

Responsibilities
- Manage and process payroll for APAC countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including calculations for salaries, pensions, leave, commissions, and other compensation components.
- Collaborate with local authorities and service providers on pensions, social insurance, taxation (including e-filing), and other statutory obligations.
- Validate payroll data and reports to ensure correctness before payment.
- Prepare, analyze, and reconcile payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Develop, review, and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in HR and payroll-related meetings, providing professional advice on labor laws and employment regulations.
- Support additional HR functions (~20% of role), including employee engagement initiatives and administration, as needed.
Description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Analyst to manage the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries in the APAC region. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance with statutory regulations, and timely delivery, while providing support for broader HR and operational functions. The ideal candidate is sharp with numbers, highly analytical, and confident in managing both manual and vendor-assisted payroll processes.

Education and Experience
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing for Malaysia. experience with other APAC countries is a strong added advantage. - Hands-on experience with manual payroll. - strong familiarity with statutory requirements, labor laws, EPF/SOCSO regulations, taxation, and other calculations in Malaysia.
Skills and Behaviours
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing for Malaysia. Experience with other APAC countries is a strong added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with manual payroll.
- Strong familiarity with statutory requirements, labor laws, EPF/SOCSO regulations, taxation, and other calculations in Malaysia.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI is an advantage.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in identifying discrepancies and providing solutions.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to make independent decisions.
- People-oriented, assertive, and comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
