EMPLOYER OF RECORD (EOR)
Employer of Record (EOR) Services
Hiring someone in another country usually means setting up a legal entity there first. Swivelt removes that step. We become the legal employer on your behalf in 60+ countries, all through our own in-country entities, so you can hire, onboard, and pay a new team member in a matter of days. No third parties, and no local paperwork on your side.

What is an Employer of Record?
An Employer of Record (EOR) legally employs staff for you in a country where you do not have your own entity. You choose the person and manage their day-to-day work. The EOR handles the employment contract, payroll, tax, benefits, and local compliance. It is the fastest compliant way to hire full-time staff abroad.

Why Swivelt
Most EOR providers rent entities from local partners. We do not. Swivelt owns its in-country entities in all 60+ countries we operate in. That means one point of accountability, no hidden partner markups, and direct control over compliance in each market. In practice that means the local registrations sit with us. In India, Swivelt holds the PAN, TAN, EPF, and ESI registrations directly. In Germany, Swivelt holds the AUG employee-leasing licence required to employ staff on your behalf. With a partner model, those registrations belong to a firm you never contracted with. It also covers the full employee lifecycle, from contracts and minimum wage through to terminations, with continuous monitoring of local regulatory changes.

Employee records, leave, and expenses are managed in Swivelt's own HR system, included with the EOR service.

EOR FAQs
How fast can we hire someone through Swivelt?
Often within a few days once we have the candidate’s details, because our own entity is already set up. Where a role needs a visa or work permit, that step sets the timeline.
Who is the legal employer?
Swivelt is, through our local entity. You direct the work; we hold the employment relationship and its compliance.
Does Swivelt use third-party partners?
No. We employ through our own entities in every country we cover, so there is no partner in the middle.
What countries do you cover?
60+ countries across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas, for both EOR and payroll.
What is an employer of record service?
An employer of record legally employs staff on your behalf in a country where you have no entity. It issues the local contract and runs payroll, tax, benefits, and compliance, while you direct the person’s day-to-day work.
Can I hire employees in another country without setting up a local entity?
Yes. That is what an employer of record is for. Swivelt employs the person through its own entity in that country, so you can hire there without registering a company.
What is the difference between an EOR and a PEO?
An EOR becomes the legal employer, so you need no entity in that country. A PEO shares employer responsibilities with you and requires you to already have your own entity there.
What is the difference between EOR and global payroll?
EOR is for hiring people where you have no entity. Global payroll is for paying people where you already have one. Many companies use both.
