Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
Project Scoping: Define ambitious project objectives, deliverables, and technical requirements.
Roadmap Development: Develop comprehensive project plans with aggressive timelines and clear milestones.
Resource Management: Efficiently allocate and optimise resources, including personnel, tools, and budget.
Risk Management: Anticipate potential risks and develop robust mitigation strategies.
Quality Assurance: Create accountability and push owners for excellence, ensuring products surpass technical standards and customer expectations.
2. Cross-Functional Coordination
Team Collaboration: Actively facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering, product, marketing, and other teams.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and assertively communicate project updates.
Conflict Resolution: Proactively address and resolve conflicts, removing barriers to progress.
3. Technical know-how
Technical Guidance: Without being the primary technical expert, offer technical direction that encourages the team to explore innovative solutions while ensuring a balanced approach to problem-solving.
Innovation & Improvement: Promote the adoption of advanced practices and a culture of continuous improvement in technology and processes.
Technical Documentation: Facilitate the creation and maintenance of thorough technical documentation, supporting the team in delivering high-quality outputs.
4. Product & understanding & articulation
Product understanding: Willing to deep-dive into the product functioning & build a deep understanding of the intricacies. Able to communicate this knowledge to technical stakeholders
User empathy: Interested in deeply understanding the user & their pain points. Interested in joining user interviews or shadowing sessions as to build this intuition
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Progress Tracking: Continuously monitor project progress, pushing teams to meet or exceed goals and timelines.
Status Reporting: Provide insightful and action-oriented status reports to stakeholders.
Metrics & KPIs: Define, track, and challenge teams on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and elevate project success.

Description
A Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a proactive leader who drives technical projects from inception to completion, pushing teams to deliver results and exceed expectations. They are not mere status reporters; TPMs actively challenge teams to innovate, overcome obstacles, and maintain high performance standards. They play a critical role in ensuring that projects are not only completed on time and within scope but also align with the organisations strategic objectives.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of product management experience, preferably in a tech or AI-focused Company
- Degree in Engineering Preferred & ideally some Engineering experience
Skills and Behaviours
- Proven Ability to Manage complex projects end to end & Deliver on aggressive timelines with desired business impact
- strong understanding of technical concepts, including software architecture and machine learning models
